Is the Part actually in stock?

With so many Companies on the Internet pretending to be something they’re not, its no surprise to us that you, our customers are suspicious of buying from the web in case you’re ripped off.

If our site says it’s in stock then it’s in stock! Our website is 100% LIVE information, what you see on your screen is what all Ultratec employees see at HQ. The information on the site is updated every second of every day. You can therefore order with complete confidence.

In that case what does WIP mean?

WIP stands for ‘Work In Progress’. At Ultratec we’re testing and refurbishing literally 1000’s of drives every month. By filling in the WIP request on the website, your requested part will jump to the front of the queue and be looked at straight away by one of our engineers. You will then be contacted by a member of the sales team, who will advise you that the part is now ready to be purchased on the site!

What delivery service does Ultratec use?

Ultratec Ltd now use INTERLINK and FedEx for all our shipping.

UK:
We offer our UK Customers 4 delivery options:

Pay on Collect : Turn up & pay within 7 days of placing the order. You will need your PIN.

2 - 3 Working Day Delivery : This is for standard deliveries. If the items are not urgent we recommend this option. The parcel can arrive anytime before 5:30pm.

Next Working Day Delivery : This is recommended for customers who need the items the next day. This is a guaranteed service. The parcel can arrive anytime before 5:30pm.

Pre 10:30AM Delivery : This is recommended to customers who need the items the next day, on a priority service. This is guaranteed to be delivered before 10:30 AM on the next Working Day

Saturday Delivery : This is recommended for customers who need the item to be delivered on a SATURDAY. All other delivery options do not include Saturday as a delivery day. The parcel can arrive anytime before 5:30PM.

EU Countries:
EU Deliveries can be serviced by Road or Air. Depending on how quickly you require your order.

If Customs charges are required, they are included in the delivery charges.

Non-EU Countries:
Countries outside the EU are sent using air services only. This is a maximum 6 day guaranteed service, however it may be delivered before then.

Delivery Times:
Delivery times vary from country to country. When you choose your shipping option, the shipping time is shown next to the price.

How do I pay for my purchases?

Payment for goods sold online is made via Credit or Debit card using the HSBC E-Payments system.

For the security of customers Ultratec Ltd does not hold any card numbers. All transactions are processed directly by the bank, and Ultratec is informed if a payment has been successful or not.

Using this system also gives Ultratec protection against fraud, as the bank has up to date records on fraudulent transactions, stolen cards, and cardholders' information. Any indication that fraud could be taking place, the order is placed on hold and the customer will be contacted.

Why am I being charged VAT?

If you are based outside of the UK but inside the EU, we are required to charge VAT unless a valid VAT ID can be supplied.

We now have a unique system that will check VAT codes against a central database. If you have a valid VAT code, please register it with the system at the shopping basket.

What warranty do I get?

Ultratec supply the following Warranty on it's products:

New:
All new products that have been purchased AS NEW are supplied with 1 years Warranty.

Ultratec and Factory Refurbished:
All refurbished products (either by us or the manufacturer) come with a 90 day Warranty.

B-Grade / Bargain Basement:
Any products purchased from the Bargain Basement are supplied with a 30 day warranty.

:Please Note:
All items are Refurbished (unless otherwise stated) recertified & qualified by our Engineering Dept. to either meet or exceed the Original Specifications. All items are 'bare' and do not include cables, software or accessories (unless otherwise stated). All Refurbished items carry a 90 day warranty and new items carry a 1 Year warranty. Additional warranty may be available, contact the Manufacturer or OEM for further details.

PCB Warranty

Ultratec does not condone the swapping of the drives PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and all PCB’s are sold in good faith and at the risk of the buyer.

:Please Note:
PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards) are sold in good faith and at the risk of the buyer. Please note, swapping the PCB can lead to either Data Loss, invalidation of OEM warranty or breakage of the HDD altogether.

There is no warranty given with the PCB, either expressly or implied, and Ultratec cannot be held responsible for any subsequent event.

My browser says there is an error when I'm using the online store!

The most common reason for errors on the Online Store is that Cookies have been disabled,

In order to use the Ultratec Website, cookies must be enabled.
For Internet Explorer please follow these steps:

Load Internet Explorer.
Click On "Tools" and then "Internet Options".

From here, there should be tabs along the top of the window. Click on "Privacy" and change the setting to "Medium".
