Regarding Drives and Hardware sent into Ultratec

Ultratec CANNOT Guarantee any data held on and device sent to (1) the company or (2) a third party on the company’s behalf.

This includes (but is not limited to) hardware that is sent in for the following reasons:

a: Data Recovery
Data recovery can mean an intrusive operation on the media holding the corrupted data. This, in the worst case, can mean that the data is lost in the process.

Ultratec LTD will not be held responsible for any loss of data resulting in the attempt to recover such data. By accepting a quote from Ultratec you (the customer) accept this condition and therefore waive any right to take legal action in order to recover the cost of the lost data.

b: Warranty Return
Any data held on a drive that is being returned because it is faulty is not the responsibility of Ultratec Ltd. If the data on the drive is required the Data Recovery service must be requested, for which there will be a charge.

c: Hardware Repair
Any data held on media being sent to Ultratec for repair (but not Data Recovery) is deemed to be expendable and may be lost in the process of repairing any device that the media is attached to.

This includes (but not limited to) Tapes, Hard Drives and DLT's which are stuck, or the cause of the fault.

d: Password Removal
Any device sent into Ultratec for any service we offer, Including password removal, Must be sent in from the owner or have full written permission from the owner of the hardware, that we can request at any time.

If Ultratec suspect that the owner is not aware of this, We will inform the appropriate authority's.

Law
English Law shall govern these conditions of sale and the English courts shall have jurisdiction in the relation thereto.
